Public Housing Waiting List Opens

St. Louis Park residents can now add their names to a waiting list for the Hamilton House public housing apartment.

The Hamilton House is a 110-unit building located at 2400 Nevada Ave. S. The apartment features one-bedroom units designated for low-to-moderate income people. The units have full kitchens, full bathrooms, large walk-in storage closets and French balconies.

Prospective residents must call 800-925-5561 today or tomorrow between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., and request an application packet by mail. Packets will not be given out in person.

The Hamilton House waiting list has an estimated wait of one to three years. The maximum annual income limits are $44,950 for one person or $51,400 for a family of two. Tenants pay roughly 30 percent of their adjusted gross income for rent.
