Plenty to Do This Mother's Day Weekend

St. Louis Park Patch gives you some fun events to check out while you're off the clock.

Mother's Day is Sunday, and while we fully encourage you to spend plenty of time with mom that day, there is plenty going on the rest of the weekend, too. And if you really want to make mom feel special, bring her along to some of the events and say it's "mother's weekend."

When: Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

When: Friday, 5-10 p.m.

Where:   Hopkins

Why Go: This 21+ event is stacked with celebrity meet and greets, comedy shows, dancing and more. Proceeds benefit the Press for Higher Education Scholarship Fund.

Price: $30

 

When: Friday and Saturday, 7 p.m.; Sunday, 2 p.m.

Where:   St. Louis Park

Why Go: Enjoy this local high school’s rendition of the wildly popular Disney hit.

Price: Adults $10, students $6, children under 5 are free

 

When: Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: St. Louis Park

Why Go: Before Mother's Day arrives on Sunday, freshen up on health tips and partake in a scavenger hunt.

Price: Free

 

When: Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.

Where: Southdale Library, Edina

Why Go: Kids will have a great time creating an ink print and watching ArtOrg’s steamroller complete the process.
