One Last Blast

Winter is back, burying sidewalks and snarling traffic.

The commute is marathon-like Wednesday morning. Up to seven inches of snow could fall today in the Twin Cities, and what has already fallen is clogging freeways, and making side-streets and sidewalks treacherous. The National Weather Service has the metro under a winter storm warning until 7 p.m. and is advising against travel.

Already, the Twin Cities area has topped 80 inches of snow this winter, making it the seventh snowiest winter on record.

As a reminder, St. Louis Park bans street parking as soon as snowfall hits three inches. Stay tuned to St. Louis Park Patch for updates. For more on local winter parking, visit the city's website.
