Nothing Says Memorial Day Weekend Like B-B-Q

Barbecues are all unique, but they do always bring people together.

Editor's Note: This is the first in a new weekly series that will highlight the various sights of summer through pictures. If you know of a great summer event or theme that we should showcase, please email local editor Michael Rose at michael.rose@patch.com.

Memorial Day, for many people, is just the beginning of a summer filled with great outdoor eating. People gather together for this event and share a meal centered around the grill.  Many aspects go into each step, from who to invite, what to eat, preparation, grilling and execution of the meal.

I had the pleasure of joining three different grillers in their element to share in this experience.  Three totally different meals and different groups of people, but all including great, flavorful food and good times shared by all.  The company of good friends makes for a successful grilling season, and even though the weather wasn’t the best, we made good memories.
