Mayor Urges Residents to Help Clean up St. Louis Park

The 2011 Beautify the Park initiative got underway recently.

After donning a safety vest and grabbing some cleaning tools, St. Louis Park Mayor Jeff Jacobs made a simple declaration and request: “Let’s clean up the Park.”

On Monday, City Council passed a proclamation kicking off the 2011 Beautify the Park initiative. While there are a number of formal events over the next few months to mark the occasion, Jacobs said simply picking up trash if you see it on the ground is a great help.

“It doesn’t take much time,” the mayor said. “It doesn’t take much work.”
