Labor Day Symbolizes the End of Summer

It's the last chance to get out and make some memories before school starts back up.

Usually when I think of Labor Day, I think of the last few days of summer. So before football seasons kick off, and school begins again, we thought it would be a great last chance to get out of the house for a while and relax with family and friends.

This year, we decided to have a small weekend BBQ at my family cabin. The weather has been gorgeous, the water calm, and the food amazing. Thanks to my mom who prepped the meat and cooked the veggies, and my dad who grilled and set the table! Mary Kraemer and I took care of the dessert, a simple cherry yogurt pie. Yum!

A recent dinner conversation ended on how my friend Mary and I are headed off to different schools and how this would probably be the last time we saw each other.  Although our lives are swamped with packing and planning for the amazing year ahead of us, this was great to slow down and let time stand still (at least for a few hours).
