Five Fun Things to Do This Weekend

Patch picks out some great events in and around St. Louis Park.

Summer won't be here that much longer, so get out there and enjoy the nice weather with some fun events while you can.

  • When: Friday, Aug. 19, 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
  • Where:  Hopkins
  • Why Go: A night of live music featuring rock’s greatest hits.
  • Price: $5 cover charge

  • When: Saturday, Aug. 20, noon to 10:30 p.m.
  • Where:  St. Louis Park
  • Why Go: Join in the family fun featuring music, McNally Smith College of Music's Karaoke Idol Contest, games, drawings, food, an art fair and other hands-on activities.
  • Price: Entrance to the exhibits and art fair is free. Admission to the music area is free with a Shops at West End store receipt or $5 at the gate.

  • When: Saturday, Aug. 20, 6:30 p.m.
  • Where: St. Louis Park
  • Why Go: The outdoor concert will feature local rockers, including St. Louis Park's own Dan Israel, who will perform a number of Bob Dylan classics.
