From art cars to live music, there's a lot to do in the west metro.
With the weather a bit cooler than earlier in the week, this weekend looks to be a wonderful opportunity for some outdoor events. See below for some of our recommendations:

Why Go: Currently in the Tychman Shapiro Gallery is a collection of photographs taken by Dina Kantor. The artwork is also a sociological exploration of the lives of Jewish individuals in Finland, and in turn a look at today's global society.

Why Go: The Shakespeare classic will be brought to life under the evening sky.
Price: Adults $10-14, Youth under 18 are free when accompanied by an adult
When: Saturday, July 23 at 6 p.m.
Where: (4124 Roseway Road, Minneapolis)
Why Go: Scope out the array of artistically decorated cars, bikes and one couch-mobile as they parade around Lake Harriet. If you’re interested in joining the parade, decorate your bike on your own or at the free earlier in the day. Line up starts at 5 p.m. at the Rose Garden.

Why Go: This live rock band performance with a splash of southern drawl just might get you out on the dance floor.
