Minneapolis Company Plans to Buy Old Nestle Site

Hillcrest Development will be meeting with St. Louis Park officials to discuss their priorities for the site.

Hillcrest Development plans to acquire the closed Nestle Corp. plant near the West End, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reported.

The Minneapolis-based company has a contract to buy the 300,000-square-foot building at 5320 W. 23rd St. and expects to complete the sale in 2014.

Exact plans for the site aren’t known yet. But Hillcrest’s president told the Business Journal that the company hopes to bring jobs back to the site and that he’ll be meeting with St. Louis Park officials to discuss the property.
