Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

About this column:

Each week, St. Louis Park Patch will test your knowledge of St. Louis Park landmarks by presenting a mystery photo and asking you to identify it.
Folks have been having a lot of fun with the retro photos here on SLP Patch, so let's give it another go this week. The photo above—which comes from the awesome Facebook group "Flasbacks of St. Louis Park"—was snapped somewhere in St. Louis Park. Your job is to guess where. You can post your guess in the comments below.
It was a lot of fun last week, so let's do it again. Above, we're featuring a retro photo, courtesy of the awesome Facebook group "Flashbacks of St. Louis Park"—and it's your job to identify where it was snapped. Post your guess in the comments below. Time to mix things up a bit. This week, instead of zooming way in on a photo and having you identify it, we're giving you the whole shot. But there's a catch—the photo is a retro shot, courtesy of the awesome Facebook group "Flashbacks of St. Louis Park." So...do you know where the above pic was snapped? Post your guess in the comments below.
Modette Broz was the first correct guesser this week, as she identifed the scoreboard at Paul Frank Field. The field is part of Freedom Park, which is located near the Park Tavern and the St. Louis Park Library. Be sure to check back next week for another "Where in the Park?"
Guess Parkites are familiar with the giant red-white-and-blue guitar logo on the side of Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill. Users Mary and James quickly identified the popular local establishment as this week's mystery photo. Good job, guys! Be sure to check back next week for another "Where in the Park?
Good job, Beth and Meghan—you both correctly identified the Mann Theater as this week's mystery photo! The theater offers free refills on large popcorn and large soft drinks, and is a favorite among local movie-goers. Be sure to check back next week for another "Where in the Park?"
A member of the Flashbacks of St. Louis Park Facebook group was spot on this week in identifying the Sabes Jewish Community Center as our mystery photo. The JCC is one of the most popular venues in St. Louis Park, as it features a fitness center, regular Jewish art exhibits, day camps and much more. Check back next Monday for another "Where in the Park?"
People in the Park know their pancakes. A few folks correctly identified Pannekoeken Huis as this week's mystery photo. Pannekoeken, of course, is Dutch for pancake. And huis=house. So this is one delicious place. Kudos to those who got this week's photo right. Be sure to check back on Monday for another "Where in the Park?"
Alright, St. Louis Park, you know the drill: Post your guess in the comments below. We'll reveal the answer after somebody gets it right. Good luck!
Our friends in the "Flashbacks of St. Louis Park" Facebook group had a lot of guesses, and finally Colby Cartney correctly identified the Municipal Service Center. Way to go, Colby! The Municipal Service Center, or MSC, houses 60 large city vehicles, such as dump trucks and street sweepers, as well as smaller equipment. The MSC is also home to the offices of many city divisions, such as utilities and public works. And, after a year-long, $9.5 million remodel, the MSC re-opened in September 2010 with an additional 53,000 square feet of space and revamped meeting areas.  Check back next week …
This week's mystery photo wasn't easy, but Patch reader Jeff G. did correctly identify Anthropologie. The West End boutique sells women's clothing, shoes, handbags and jewelry in addition to books, home furnishings and decor. Be sure to check back next week for another "Where in the Park?"
Congrats to readers who logged onto the site or St. Louis Park Patch’s Facebook page and correctly identified the water tower behind Elie Park as this week's mystery photo. The tower is so synonymous with the area that the park is often referred to as "Tower Park." Be sure to check back next week for another "Where in the Park?"
This week's mystery photo was Linsk Flowers (not the Rec Center, as many guessed). For being the first person to email us the correct answer, Patch reader Greg Overall will receieve one free Parktacular button. Congrats, Greg! These cool and stylish buttons are your ticket into the Rock the Block Block Party at West End. Plus, they come with awesome coupon cards, good at a number of local businesses. They are available for purchase ($5 each or four for $15) at a number of St. Louis Park locations. If you didn't win this time, don't despair—we'll be giving away another button next week with a …
Looks like we might have finally stumped you! No one correctly identified the mystery photo as Beth El Synagogue. Don't despair—there's always next time. In fact, our next "Where in the Park?" will be up later this morning. Be sure to check back!
This week's mystery photo was definitely tough, as it took a while for anyone to post a correct guess, but eventually a few folks on our Facebook page nailed it: Park Tavern. Beek's Pizza was a popular guess, but check the photos above to see that the Tavern was indeed the right locale. Check back for another "Where in the Park?" on Monday.
Steve was right on—this week's mystery photo is indeed City Hall. Glad he got it right, too—as a City Councilman, he should know the building pretty well! Check back next Monday for another "Where in the Park?"
Great guess, Alex—you correctly identified St. Louis Park High School as our mystery photo. But can you—and other Patch readers—identify this week's photo?
Elaine Rasmussen was on top of our mystery photo this week, correctly identifying the sign at Dakota Park. Dakota is one of the larger parks in St. Louis Park, featuring a play area, a dog park and a baseball field that plays home to the St. Louis Park Orioles. Check back next week for another "Where in the Park?"
Debbie was really close by guessing the boardwalk at Westwood Hills Nature Center, but this week's mystery photo was in fact a different board walk—the one near Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital. Congrats to Nancy Goethel Flint, who posted the correct answer on our Facebook page. This boardwalk cuts through a beautiful wetland area and makes for a great spot for a springtime walk. It's open to all, and located on Louisiana Avenue as you approach the hospital. Check back next Monday for another "Where in the Park?"
We can't put one past you, St. Louis Park. Readers Steve Hallfin and Bill James correctly noted below that the mystery photo this week indeed was Crave. Also, special tip of the hat to Jeff Luke (@thelongcut), who Tweeted the correct answer within minutes of the post going up. Good job, all! For those that haven't been, Crave is a restaurant at the West End featuring an American menu with Asian and Mediterranean influences. With the weather as nice as it's been lately, you can also check out their street-side patio. If you want to rate or review Crave, be sure to head to the restaurant's …
