For more than 16 years, Browndale Park has held its annual Bluegrass and Bonfire gathering. This past Saturday, neighbors old and new to the neighborhood gathered to make scarecrows, roast marshmallows and bond by the warmth of the fire.

Looks like this year's bonfire was a lot of fun! And I'm so glad that the weather has changed so that we can have such events. Hooray, fall!

I have been a Browndale resident for years, and I am continually amazed at the events and camaraderie that bonds this neighborhood, with the park often being the focal point. Everyone should come enjoy our sled hill and warming house this winter!

Debra, are there any special events coming up later this fall or winter in Browndale?

Thanks, Freddie, Queen of the Golden Valley Days!
Michael, Browndale Park has a FB page. I'll see what I can find out there about upcoming events. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Browndale-Neighborhood/264910170916?ref=ts

Browndale Neighborhood Association has one more event this year and that is the pumpkin carving at the end of October. I think the date changed but it will be posted on the Browndale Facebook Page. The 2013 board was elected at the Bonfire and Bluegrass last Saturday. They will be putting together a calendar of events for 2013. Watch for details on the FB page.
