What's Open and Closed on Thanksgiving?

Most businesses will be closed Thursday, but some will be open that night as an early start to Black Friday.

 

Here's a listing of what St. Louis Park businesses and establishments will be opened or closed on Thanksgiving:

Banks: Most banks are closed on Thursday, but you should check with your particular branch.

Businesses: Some businesses could choose to close Thursday and/or Friday. Please call ahead before heading out to shop. Several St. Louis Park big-box stores will open Thursday night.

City offices: The city offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Fire: Firefighters will be working on Thursday and Friday.

Garbage: There will be no collection on Thanksgiving Day. Thursday and Friday collection will be delayed by one day.

Library: The St. Louis Park Library will be closed Thursday. It will be open regular hours Friday.

Mall: Knollwood Mall is closed Thursday, but it will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

Police: Police officers will be on duty Thursday and Friday.

Senior Center: The St. Louis Park Senior Program in Lenox Community Center will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Transportation: Check the Metro Transit website for Thursday and Friday schedules.

KARE 11 said Cub would be open...not. But the SLP Big Lots WAS, where I successfully scored $.50 boxes of Stove Top & the aluminum foil I needed to finish my meal.
