Visions for Vacancies: Bennigan's Building
What should go here? Tell Patch.
After closing in 2008, the Bennigan's restaurant building on Wayzata Boulevard has sat vacant.
It's a large building, so there are a lot of possibilities. Perhaps another restaurant to compete with the Woodfire Grill next door? Or something else entirely?
In the comments section below, tell us what you'd like to see go in.

This southern side of 394 (Wayzata Blvd.) is a conundrum. Especially for restaurants.
All three of the former establishments recently closed: Benigann's, Woodroast, and
Fuddrucker's (*which still has locations operating in the Twin Cities area.)
The only bar/restaurant that's stayed open is TGIFriday's. Raze it for parking for Super Moon Buffet - looks like they could use the space. --Jay Pearson SLP

It is definitely a tricky area, Jay. On the one hand, there is plenty of traffic flying by on the highway, so it's easy to be seen. But how do you get people to actually exit the highway and then get onto Wayzata?

I'd like to see wrecking ball move in. That place was a dump. Them they build a brand new Culvers or Buffalo Wild Wings-just saying

Buffalo Wild Wings, yes! I drove by their HQ last night and every time I drive by there I wonder why they don't have one in the city their HQ is in! We also need a Culver's, but I envision that closer to West End.

I'm definitely on board with the Buffalo Wild Wings idea. I think one would do very well here. I would certainly be a regular customer!

Since Ember's being gone, I would like to see IHOP to move in . . .Culver's nice, too.

Like I said... We need a CVS Pharmacy to compete with the plethora of Walgreenses, not another resturant "graveyard". What is this city trying to do? Compete with and look like "North" Mineapolis and look like a slum! Come-on city fathers! We can do better than this! Terry
