SLP Police Warn Residents Of Water-Testing Scam
If a vial is left on your doorstep, St. Louis Park Police say you shouldn't fill out the attached form.
A water-testing scam is circulating around the Twin Cities, according to the St. Louis Park Police Department.
Someone leaves a small tube at a residents, along with a card that asks for personal information like name, phone number and income.
"This is NOT coming from the city—if the city was testing your water, you would be contacted beforehand via official city letterhead," according to a statement from the police department. "... Please note that it is against city code for people to leave these at your door."
If you receive one of these tubes and card, call the nonemergency police number at 952-924-2618.

Thanks for the info.
Is this something that can be reported to local news stations to further broadcast this?

I know it's been on some TV channels in the Twin Cities, but I'm not sure if all have covered it.
