Shops at West End Getting Several New Tenants

A ballet-themed fitness studio, two clothing boutiques and a frozen yogurt shop are coming to St. Louis Park.

The Shops at West End is expanding rapidly, with several new tenants opening for business at the popular St. Louis Park shopping center.

Among the new additions is Haute Barre, a dynamic fitness experience that offers customers a full body workout through a combination of ballet barre movements, yoga and core strength training.

Developed by Nancy Norby, a master barre teacher, the Haute Barre officially opened for business last Saturday, April 20. Haute Barre offers a number of different classes, all taught by trained instructors.

MINQ aims to tempt shoppers with higher-end apparel, courtesy of Stacey Finnegan. Finnegan ran Il Vostro Boutique at 50th & France in Edina until she sold it three years ago and said the store will feature clothing for men and women.

"We like to refer to the women's collection as 'the Twin Cities dress address'," Finnegan said. "And for men, we will be featuring a diverse collection of quality garments and accessories designed for men who aren't afraid to dress with style."

When it opens, MINQ will be the only Minnesota store to feature the Scott James collection, created by the former owner of the Kuhlman stores. MINQ will be located between lululemon athletic and White House | Black Market.

It's not the only clothing store hitting the West End, as Francesca's will also be opening up shop later this year. The women's clothing and accessories retailer has already opened Twin Cities stores at Southdale Center in Edina and Minneapolis' Calhoun Square, with another location set to call Eden Prairie Center home this summer.

MINQ is slated to open for business in May, according to Shops at West End officials. Francesca's, meanwhile, is targeting a fall opening.

But wait, there's more. Forever Yogurt, a Chicago-based purveyor of frozen yogurt, is also coming to the West End in the near future. Forever Yogurt offers customers a range of flavors, including several based on popular Hershey's candies.

It will be the first Minnesota franchise for the business, though the company's website seems to indicate three more—all in undisclosed locations—are on their way to the state.
