Jack Jablonski, the Benilde-St. Margaret's sophomore hockey player who was paralyzed by a hit in a game on Dec. 30, has received a wave of support since his injury, and a number of hockey standouts are chipping in.

NHL.com reports that Jablonski has received a phone call from Wayne Gretzky, and visits from members of the Sharks and Wild, as well as from Dan Brooks, son of Herb Brooks, the legendary coach of the 1980 men's Olympic hockey team. Dan brought his dad's gold medal.

"Still in shock," Jablonski said via Twitter after seeing the medal.

Last week, former Minnesota North Stars coach and general manager Lou Nanne also stopped by to visit "Jabby." And during their most recent home game, the Minnesota Golden Gophers men's hockey team raised money for Jablonski.

To date, more than 370,000 people have visited Jablonski's CaringBridge website, and the hashtag "#Jabs" has spent some time trending on Twitter.

Jablonski is not expected to walk again, his surgeon said, but he was able to move his arms on command recently, his mother reported—something he wasn't expected to do so soon.
