Breaking: UPDATE: Two SLP Students Dead, Two Injured in Gravel Slide »
Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Farewell, SLP Patch

It's been a blast, but I'm moving on to a new job here in St. Louis Park.

It's been a blast, St. Louis Park Patch, but alas, I'm moving on.

I'm writing to announce that this is my last day as editor of St. Louis Park Patch. Come Monday, I will be starting as a communications specialist for the city of St. Louis Park. So, I won't be going far!

I've truly enjoyed getting to know this community, which is why the job with the city has me so excited. It's been an honor to get to know so many of you, and I'd love to stay in touch. You can reach me anytime at my personal email, mike.rose87@gmail.com.

But just because I'm leaving doesn't mean St. Louis Park Patch is going anywhere. I'm biased, but I think it's become a valuable local resource, and it will continue to be. To stay in touch with local Patch editors, please email stlouispark@patch.com.

Also, do consider getting involved on the site if you haven't already done so. Patch is only as strong and successful as its readers make it. So, start a blog or create an event or post an announcement. The site shines when readers are active.

It's been fun. See you when I see you, St. Louis Park.

Michael,
We at the Saint Louis Park High School newspaper "The Echo" are very saddened by this. You have served as quite a role model for us student journalists. You will be missed!

That's very kind of you to say, Sarah. I'm not going far at all (see above), and would be happy to stay in touch as desired....just email me at mike.rose87@gmail.com. Would be happy to discuss college j-school options, career stuff, etc. I'm by no means any kind of expert, but I could certainly share a few tips/thoughts.
