Volunteers Needed For Parktacular

on June 15 & 16!

St. Louis Park Parktacular, a city-wide celebration will be held from June 14 - June 17, 2012.The Parktacular committee is busy planning a wide variety of events for community members of all ages. Events will include a block party-with a street dance, lots of entertainment, activities for children, a parade, and more!

Volunteers are needed to help at Parktacular in the following areas:

Date and location of all activities except the Block Party Street Dance is Saturday, June 16^th in the Wolfe Park area of Excelsior and Grand. 

 Parade Volunteers: Assist with traffic control for the parade set-up and during the parade, staff an intersection, monitor and direct traffic, give directions. Specific instructions will be provided. Volunteer alone or sign up as a team with friends and/or family! Time commitment: 9:15-noon or 11:45-2:45. 

 Eco-Fair Volunteers: Help by assisting children with potting a plant or helping at the Eco mini-golf station by giving instructions, handing out and collecting the golf equipment, etc Time commitment: 2-4:00 or 4:00-6:00 p.m.

Information Booth: Greet guests, sell tickets, give directions & information from the comfort of a nice covered booth. Time commitment: 9-11:30, 11:30-2:30 or 2:30-5:00, 5:00-7:00 and/or 7:00-9:00 (the late shift volunteers get to here the concert!)

 Block Party/Street Dance Volunteers:  Greet guests, sell tickets, staff the gates, help with maintenance. Have fun at the dance and volunteer too!  Street dance volunteers must be 18 or older. Date: Friday, June 15^th,    Location: The Westend,    Time commitment: 5:30-8:30 or 8:00-11:15 p.m.

Volunteers ages 16 + are welcome! Sign up individually or sign up with a friend. Children ages 11 and older are welcome to volunteer with an adult
