The St. Louis Park Emergency Program will be opening a new youth-only food pantry on June. 5.
Those ages 12-23 will be able to shop STEP's food shelves every Tuesday from 3-5pm. No appointments will be necessary, and youth need not live in St. Louis Park to shop.
The youth food pantry is being made possible by STEP, YMCA Youth Intervention Services and Streetworks transitional housing of Minneapolis.
STEP has served the St. Louis Park community since 1975, and currently helps more than 1,600 people each month. In addition to the food shelf, STEP has a clothes bank, and provides advocacy and support for those in need.
